SweCo Services is a team of dedicated professionals who specialize in stormwater inspections and reporting. We help properties, from residential complexes to commercial developments, meet the requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program and New Jersey's N.J.A.C. 7:8 statute.

What is a stormwater compliance inspection?
It’s a routine check of a property’s stormwater management systems, such as basins, dry wells, swales, and similar structures, to confirm they’re functioning as designed. Findings are documented against the site’s Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual and New Jersey’s NPDES permit and N.J.A.C. 7:8 requirements.
How often do stormwater systems need to be inspected?
It depends on what your property’s O&M manual specifies. Most call for either monthly or quarterly routine inspections, sometimes alongside an annual inspection certified by a professional engineer. We build your inspection calendar around whatever your manual requires.
What’s an O&M manual, and do I need one?
An Operations and Maintenance manual spells out how a property’s stormwater systems are supposed to be maintained and inspected. If your property has systems subject to NPDES or N.J.A.C. 7:8, you almost certainly have one on file already, often from your original site plan approval, and every inspection we perform is checked against it.
What’s the difference between QCIS and QPSWPPP?
QCIS (Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater) is New Jersey’s credential for performing stormwater compliance inspections. QPSWPPP (Qualified Preparer of SWPPPs) is the credential for preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. Our inspectors hold both.
